Rhodes amp input circuit?

My Fender Rhodes piano has a middle of the road output level - It's a little
weak for my mixer's normal input level and overloads the mixer input when I
put it on "mic". So I figure I'd make a little booster amp and customize to
boost to the perfect level.

Question is: Is there an optimum input circuit that the Rhodes would like to
see for best efficiency (as in input impedance, or whatever)?

For those that don't know, the Rhodes generates tones using a metal tine
vibrating through the axis of a coil. I guess this is very similar to a
guitar pickup.
