SV: Pattern Controlled Filter

Hi all...
Looking thru the archive in search for something else i
found this question by Trevor and thought i might contribute
with a little thingy =)...
As you guys said the PCF is a pattern controlled filter
withother words a VCF controlled by a CV sequencer.
The PCF in rebirth has 32 patterns preprogrammed and they
are shaped like a lot of things from long triangels to just
simple 16th notes gated once a while.
If you have the rebirth manual Trevor you can look up
page 206 to spot all the patterns included in the Rebirth
PCF. For a new design I guess a PIC sequencer with preprogrammed
patterns like in rebirth would be the best solution.
I had an idea myself a while ago which consisted of
hooking up the 303 sequencer to a CV analog delay which should give
a pretty decent PC Analog Delay.
Hope this helped a little but as i suspect this was old
news to you allready.
Happy holidays guys
/ Andreas

This has nothing to do with copyright - it would be a patent issue, if they
have patented it.
Once again, I don't think anyone can patent the connection of a sequencer
output to a filter input.

the PCF design. I'd like to incorporate a very similar feature in a
hardware design of my own (though NOT a stand-alone PCF), but I'd be afraid
of upsetting the Propellerheads and maybe getting into trouble for it if I
do! I guess this raises the complicated issue of copyrights etc...
