do you happen to know what a mullard mz2-200 is/does? I was told that this
brand new bottle, never used, was a transmitter valve but could be turned
into a decent audio amp.... I think it's rated at about 1kW.... it's about
11" high and is directly heated (only 4 pins, big ones).

my philip rees box wasn't very good at driving my yamaha cs30; I even had
the man himself offering to come round and sort it out. instead, I took the
fatalistic point of view that the cs30 just wasn't interested in midi,
though there's a midi-clock converter in it to run the sequencer. I couldn't
get the hz/volt stable over more than an octave; same with a mono/poly. is
there another unit on the market that does hz/v? has anyone on the list
built one and got some tips?
