Totally OT: Supernova vs. JP8080

Hi list,

This is quite off topic so I suggest any replies are private. Yes this post
would probably be more at home on the AH list! Anyway I'd like some opinions
on two synths I'm currently looking at. I've no doubt some folk on this list
would have used either of these machines and may be able to offer some
opinions.

I'm seriously considering buying a second hand novation Supernova from
someone who's selling one for 650GBP. This seems a pretty good deal to me.
However I've also looked at the Roland JP8080 and can't make up my mind
which would be the best to go for. The Supernova certainly seems better in
the polyphony/multitimberality department but is maybe not as user-friendly,
or 'hands-on' and intuitive as the JP8080 which does seem to have a nicer
'tweakable' large user interface. It is also a bit cheaper S/H. The sounds
on both machines are excellent.

Suggestions?
