more amps for ASM-1

Any more help with amp choices for the ASM-1 would be greatly appreciated.
Just to let everyone know what I'm working with for amps etc...
Gibson L-5 w/ 2x 12" JBL's
Fender Pro Junior 1x 12" stock
Mackie MS1202

For future use (not running)
Hammond M100 amp and reverb (project)
Bogen PA amp (eventual 4 gain level amp project)

I was curious if I should use a direct box (maybe with a pad) to help keep a check on the level of the modular when using my Mackie. 

I'm mainly a guitarist as you might tell from the amps.  I also have a Prodigy (whole) and a Minimoog osc card that I'd like to use when they are up and running with my soon to be finished ASM-1 (I've been putting it off for months).  Any more suggestions and safety recautions would be great.
