I have plenty of disk space on my server, and would be glad to host it.
Several other list members can offer the same because they are also
running their own servers, so it could be a good idea that those guys who
can provide space and those of you who have large schematics archives
come together and create a schematics archive !
This should then be mirrored on the server by everybody who wants to be
a mirror, so ti will not be a problem if suddenly one of our sites has to be closed
down for any reasons.
I would be glad to be one of the mirrors.
I do also have a private collection of several hundred MBs of schematics, but
have only the graphics files, not noticed from where i downloaded them - so i am
a bit reluctant to post all of them, because i do not want anybody to be annoyed
because i have ripped some schemos from their page that they do not want to
be posted elsewhere.
What will we do with schematics that the owners do not want to be published ?
e.g. mc´s Korg25 schemo, JH´s EMS schemos, my Sennheiser schemos ?
(i have personally promised not to give them away).
My idea is to have a short history for those schemos who have been corrected
for some mistakes and leave the older (erroneous) schematics in the archive, too
(not to be found by the index, but available from the latest, hopefully working one)
any takers ?
