I dont want to turn you down but getting a
position in an allready established synth
manufacturer is hard, if not impossible.
(you need a backround of DSP and other "pain"
of several years)

Newertheless if you would sucseed to get a
position in such a company dont expect any
glory and easy days what soever. I have heard
and seen to much "bullshit" coming out of that
area. The best advice i can give "start your own"
do it your self, etc.

Hard facts:

Ensoniq was a pain in the arse and many
engineering souls are walking around hurted.
(ecxept S Curtin):-)

Emu: the dont reply, and are ignornat (Creative).

Clavia: always seeks people (C programers)
but are quite strange and has expressed
strange values/ideas.I know of two wery talanted
persons who have mailed CV to them and had employment
discussions whit them and both say that it seams that
clavia dont want to pay resonable salaries to experienced
developers,"just" takes people who just want to work
the arse off and doset want a life.

Helicon: A former sales manager from TC electronics
are CO and im wery sceptical about what this person
are saying.

Allen and Heat: As far as people say,"you better work your
arse( again) off, otherwise"!!! Dosent sound to healty
if i might say so!

Oberheim/Gibon monkey:
Well what can i say,"STAY OUT OF THE HANDS OF GIBSON".

Soundcraft:?

Sony:?

Alesis: Has really lousy responce took 4 mounths to get a
reply and the reply was really dumb, they seams to "recycling"
their job ads, as one emplyee at the F-messe said: some times
working at Alesis is "just" another day job.

Hard facts two:
Read about the history of Sequential Cirquits,Moog,ARP,etc
and you will get a picture about the hassle and stress
they where inwolved in, this was the heay days of synths
but nevertheless there was pain to.Today its about "MONEY"
and nothing else, dont forget that.

But if you do it by your own and using your head
in a good way you can have a great time.

As a more optimistic view look at Novation,Waldorf,Access,
Native instruments,Propellerheads etc.Small scale small people
resonable income.

BJ(in the lands of depressed pessimists caused of 2 monts raining)
