Boss DR-55 repair question

Hi!

I have experienced EXACTLY the same thing!

The value of this pot is 1M Log. It's an ALPS-pot with splines.
I didn't find any suppliers of this particular one where i live (Sweden) so
i orderd a similar pot without splines from www.trimlog.se .
Then I took both the new and old pots apart and put the original pot-shaft
in the new pot. This required drilling out a small rivet (is that what it's
called?) out of the end of the pot-shaft.
It was a bit hard to get the shaft to attach to the new wiper so i had to
drill a 1,8 mm hole in the shaft and use a self threading 2mm screw and a
very small copper bushing to fixate it.
But it worked perfect and my dr-55 is happy!

Before you try this, ask your local ALPS-dealer if he can find the correct
type.

I'll put the schematic up at
