thanks! looking at the flat side it's a ECB, which is what i thought from
looking at the way it was hooked up. i even drew it this way in the rough i
drew last night. i had to be sure though before i drew a nicer version up for
the web. this 5138 seems to be a bit of a pain to track down. i guess i'll
have to go by intuition on it and risk pissing off lots of people by getting
wrong. or i can breadboard it first with a 4403 in place of the 5138. there's
a plan. i won't get to this right away though because i'm very busy finishing
my moog filter clone at the moment. i should find time next week though, after
all, i'm dying to add the synthacons filter to my modular!
next i'll have to tackle it's VCO. i love the sound of it, but it's gonna be a
bitch to reverse enjineer with it's important trannies stuck in the metal bar
full of heat sink grease - DOH ;)
interesting thing about the filter - it consists of a mere 4 transistors. it's
like some bastard hybrid between a putney and a MS filter. someone will
definately need to give me a good explanation of it's operation.
