You can always use an 8 pin wire wrap socket (long tails) and fit it with a
DIP.
Always socket repair chips, if it went bad once, it may go bad again
(failure mode).
The socket saves excess stress on the PCB traces if it has to be replaced
again.

Hi Everyone,
Where can I get some "CA3080 in a can" IC's, I'm trying to repair my sonic
six and I need a couple
of these things.
Also, anyone know where I can get the knobs for this synth?

Thanks in advance!!

Gerry Dahl
