Diode noise

I stopped at the first diode I tried because I got silky smooth
hiss from it.  No popcorn.  I also listened to the noise doing a 
slow hi-rez lpf sweep.  Goes from thunder to shhhhh.  It looks
very good on the scope too.  No repeating patterns as in 60hz.

Harry:  I tried replacing the cap with a resistor (470K) and
got _nothing_.
