hi all,

Last night I managed to add vc control to a 4 sec DOD delay pedal.
This is my first DIY/hack without a kit :-) I am pleased with it. wanted
to share my excitement.

I have wanted to get vc delay sweeps for a long time and final got the
courage up to look into the pedal and start playing around. Figured if I
broke it, I could get another one cheap.

THe pcb is very tight and I just started to probe around, circuit
bending. I looked at the pots. I added a restore between the wipers on
the time pot and bingo, whoosh!!!, the delay time changed. ok next how
to add vc?

I built my own vactrol with an LED and photocell. I wrapped it up
in back tape to test. yep it worked, the delay time changed as the
vc voltage increased or decreased.

I built a better vactrol with hot glue and a bit of plastic tubing from
a mechanical pencil. nice little radial axial unit. Next I intend to
install it
on the mini jack that is used for the AC power adapter. I will
disconnect the wires and use the jack as the vc in. wee, this is fun.

oh, back to work ...
Jeff
