I cant see what all the fuss is about.
I've seen hundreds of ckts on the net, mostly gifs,
and they seem perfectly OK to me, and import into 
most anythng i have. They work, everyone can read them.
OTOH, when people make these PDF structures, it is
very inconvenient to get the stuff out again.
And as for embedding everything in a HTML page, well
the first thing that happens is that I lose track of 
the text & the pics when I store them & never connect the 
two later.
There is a saying, "KISS".

OK if a ckt is mouldy & stained, then JPG might be a 
better bet for trying to let everyone guess the values.
And for showing off your woodwork skills, no argument.
