Just out of curiousity, which processor is in there, and how is the
velocity information generated, via hardware or by the processor itself?

Even if someone manages to disassemble Yamaha's program code, it's much
less effort to make a little program for an extra processor that
translates the velocity data than hacking into a disassembled program
(You most probably know that yourself). But the resolution would still
be 100.
