Can the ASM-1 be used to process audio?

Hey

I'm planning on building some audio effects to process my drums (ex: for live
drums 'n bass/other dance music) and other sounds. I have looked at some
effects schematics:

I also looked at the ASM-1 VCF. Can I plug audio into the filter in the
signal imput slots? Would I have to imput a voltage into the CV imput to get
it to work (if so, can you suggest a voltage source/pot value to use)? Can
you suggest any other effects I should look into (I'm a semi-beginner (built
mainly kits), so simple stuff is appreciated) or, if I build the ASM-1 VCF,
any other modules I should build (ie LFO, Noise, etc.)? I figure that if I
build a few ASM modules now, I can use them later if I build a VCO.
