OT. Ideas, questions.

Yo People of the list!

I read about the idea of looping audio on Floppy disks. 
I wondering if any one has though of getting the head out of a walkman
or something and bodgeing in to the the diskdrive ? 
For improved sound quality? 
and easy to get working? How about just draging a tape head over tape,
'scratching' samples on tape ? 

I dont know, I am not much of a DIY Dude, but would like to find out
what ppl have built along the lines of crazy sampling equipment?
Also has or does any one know/ built a drum machine, or any thing good
at sequencing bass lines.? 
And what do you ppl use your creations for? I never see you talikng
about muisc? 

I am 16, listern to rock music all day, really like making music on
trackers using distorted Drum n Bass/ techno type bass lines with stupid
and funny samples thrown in when needed, great Fun !
I am off to get my GCSE results today. 
I hope none of you fond this too boating or off topic.
