Hello dude's!

Back in 1999 sometimes this below was said at DIY and now i would to
comment onto that: (i was way off the list during 99!!)

Outrageous said Jorgen!!! It was certainly not a "mock-up""!!!

Mock-up is a word that the "sales" dumb asses at Net insight AB
uses when they try to sell empty metal cases at telecom exhibitions. ;-)

It has always been a working device, period.
Yes,it has been shown/sold at some music stores in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
It was to be re sol'd by two music stores but I/we
decided not to sell it to either store due to the store owners
wanted just to make huge money out of the box and that was
not our intention with the converter.

The whole idea was that it should be a quality affordable "cheap"
device no fucking Kenton/Dopfer (let me screw your ass) prices.
Eventually the behavior of the resellers pissed me off so,
bla bla bla , and i started to work on other stuff and
it went into my drawmer, etc excuses.

And yes it does all that PAIA does, it does allot,
it does it all in real rime and its fully programmable.

Now, i think i might do something with it, since im not so keen to
do a kit with all the components, boxes etc i wonder slightly
how many of you would be interested in:

1:to buy just a preprogrammed MCU (its a 68HC11) and build
your own MCVD8x8 (veroboard or PCB, its your problem)?

2:or would you be more happy to be able to buy a preprogrammed
MCU and a PCB for all the components "except the 12 bit DAC.
This PCB would then have a tiny connector on the edge so you
could buy whatever DAC you prefer?

I used the AD7248 because it was cheap and had reasonable performance
at the time, this DAC is a 8bit interface, but the MCVD8x8 can be
interfaced to any 12 bitter, all you have to do is to set two 8 bit
latches (HC574/573 etc) in front of the DAC. Personally im very happy
with the MCVD8x8 i have installed one in a SH101 and one in my MAS
modular.

1: is dead cheap, 2 is cheap, too but is slightely easier.

Besides it contains very few components:

So is there any interest of this here or am i just
an old fool that should be thrown ito the Baltic sea?
