jeez- I never would have thought.....

*obviously* they are the metal ones; it is supposed to go quite loud, this
amp. whether or not they are epitaxial... well, I was surprised to see
3055's in there at all, since this amp went on the market in about 1971, and
there was the other surpise of, like, no 2n2955's.... which would've been a
more obvious design, no? I had a Leak stereo 30 once, with germanium power
transistors.... hissed a bit, but it sounded nice.

it's a fine bit of hifi; definitely has a bit of character and makes my
terratec soundcard sound almost musical. 
now, anyone seen the tuner?
