I don't want to get off on a rant but......

Yesterday, while going through the local Goodwill
I found a Pioneer SG-9500 10 band stereo EQ
for $18.00

Works great, the slide pots weren't even scratchy!
Looks nice sitting under the SX-727

Why would anybody want one of those old stereo
components with a real wood case and brushed
aluminum panel? I dunno. I could have bought a
new black plastic EQ for 5 times the price!

Did you know that every A/V receiver made these
days does surround sound with bbds? Sounds like
crap! I can't listen to them very long. But what the
hey, if your going to listen to CDs and MP3s what
would it matter anyway?

One of these days people will realize that this old
Pioneer stuff is some of the best stereo equipment
ever made. Especially the transformer coupled
amps. Until then I'll be thrift-shopping. I could go
on about the quality vinyl that people are trashing
but whats the point? One man's garbage and all
that....besides I like buying premo-vinyl for $0.50
each.
