special effect

Risset? Ever rising glissando?

The trick is: you have some partials, not necessarily harmonics.
The spectrum looks like a fence. The more density the better. You slowly
shift them up (down). When they reach some limit you start to fade
them out. On the other end you create new partials at some limit and
start to fade them in, otherwise you would run out of partials soon.

This effect is psychoacoustically interesting, but once you've heard it
and understood the magic disappears. What do you want to do with it?
