hi all,
I have begin to design and build my own modular system. This project has
been a dream for over 15 years, starting with the desire to take
environmental
sound and using input from the same environment ( light, heat, humidity,
etc.) control and process sound. I have have been interested in the old
paia stuff for years too and have had a hand a rebuilding a serge panel
( my current system).
I will lean towards more audio processing and cv processing/generating
modules than vco type units. First on the block is the power supple.
Just order a +/-15 linear supply from mpja ( www.mpja.com). This was
mentioned here last week.
I also order from them, joysticks 9 $2.95) and a few op-amp function
generator kits ($5, tri, sq and sine...6hz to 6khz, we'll see).
The next modules will be env follower ( paia 4700 series clone),
triple bpf with 3 lfos, 4017 8 stage seq ( simple) and a cv proc module.
Also planning a ring modular (ad633) with osc and preamp. Tomg has
a bunch of pcb that look good to ...
hold back laughter, but I was thinking of using the bpf design form the
Paia 2700 modules - seems simple ( cheap ) and easy to hand wire. anyone
ever heard one? would 3 of these, each with a simple 2 op-amp lfo make a
good module? ( yes I want opinions).
There sure are a lot of kits out, but I hope to build it all myself...
thanks for the bandwidth.
