OK, here you go...a once in a lifetime opportunity. For the past
year or so, my father has been trying to get this thing working again.
Since he just got out of surgery a week ago after having a cancerous
bladder removed, he decided he has better things to do with his life and
wants to just get rid of the thing. I decided I did not want it myself
(I also have better things to do with my time).
My father acquired this from a friend of his when the friend passed
away. It was supposed to go to a church, but it was not working, so it
was given to my dad in the hopes it could be made working. That is now
all out the window. My dad's friend made a lot of his own modifications
to the original circuit (which makes it even more difficult to repair).
This thing has two 5 octave manuals plus what appears to be a 2 2/3
octave pedal board. Everything is in fair to good condition (there are
some problems with the contacts on the pedal board, from what I have
been able to see).
How much?.....That's the best part...It's FREE! There is a
catch....you have to figure out how to get it to your place. The thing
weighs in at somewhere between two and three hundred pounds (250
according to the book). I have no idea how much freight would cost on
this sucker.
Now, if you live anywhere close to Santa Barbara, California (USA),
I might be willing to load it up in my pickup truck and transport it
myself, but I think I will put the limit at about 150 miles on that
arrangement.
So, if you ever wanted to Midi some pedal boards (personally, I
think this thing is only good for components such as pedals, keyboards,
switches), now is your chance.
If nobody wants this thing, it very well will probably end up in our
local landfill.
