does the same thing happen if you move the whole thing to another location?
is anything else at the current location affected similarly?
ferrite core with cable wrapped around it somehow (like that lump in y'r vga
cable) is an inductor and will shunt off hf to some degree, so any hf in or
around the cable doesn't get to travel too far.
sounds to me, though, that you need to have y'r meetings in a faraday
cage.....
