moog prodigy audio input mod

Was at a friend's house playing with his prodigy tonight, and I noticed (to
my dismay) that because of the absence of a cv out, I couldn't interface my
MOTM with his prodigy. We started talking about possibly modifying his
prodigy, and we found several resources.

One: machines.hyperreal.org has an audio input mod as well as a cv and gate
mod. Does anyone see any drawbacks to the way the mods are set up here?

Two: Analogue Solutions sells a kit (at a price way too high) to turn your
prodigy into a (almost) full modular system. I'd much rather do this myself
using quality components (ie: switchcraft jacks). Anyone out there have a
guide on how to do the rest of the input/output mods?

Thanks,
