you want to look for a kms30- this little korg box could convert anything to
anything else; it could accept tape sync, sync-24/48 (i.e roland or korg) or
midi as master clock and it would convert to the other formats too.
I got mine for 30 quid in 1987 (the same year I got a 202 and a 303 for 50
quid each)- the guy in the shop said something like "absolutely useless
nowadays, of course".
I'll have a look inside, but as I recall, there was some proprietary stuff-
a prom maybe.....
alternatively, you could trade the 808 for a 909 (I don't really mean that,
btw).
