control voltage pedal

I recently bought a used Morley expression/volume pedal which, when you 
input a 5V signal to the input jack, will operate as a c/v pedal.

I've gotten tired of having to connect a long damned cable from my lfo (or 
whatever) to "power" the pedal, and am looking for another means of doing 
it.

What I've been looking at was possibly getting a 5v wall wort and setting it 
up to power the pedal. Anyone done this? I can only find the wall worts with 
a 3.5mm plug. Will a simple 3.5mm to 1/4in connector work? Will my damned 
idea work at all? I have no electronics training, but have put together my 
share of kits. Trying to do custom stuff now.

Any help or suggestions on this would be appreciated.
