    No, the udP444 was a very low power, true CMOS ram.  These things
were so low in power, that just a 10uF cap could keep them powered for a
month.  The 2114 consumes an almost infinate more amount of power, by
comparison.  They are pin compatable, but if you are talking about a
circuit that has battery backup, the 2114 will probably kill your
battery in minutes.
