We use long S-Video cables here at work. I dont have the spec,
but going from a study to a lounge should be no problem.
There are variences in the quality of s-video cables however, so try to get
a well-shielded cable.
We use 50ft on a regular basis with no problem. I would equate s-video with
75 OHM Coax in terms of
shielding/length etc. I will ask our AV integration guy if I see him around.

What I would do is to use two good 75 Ohms coax cables. RG-59 or something.
Twisted pair is all very fine, but that weigths in at about 100 to 110 Ohms.
My educated guess is that the s-video signal is 75 Ohms signals, that is
what
is commonly used in the buissness (I never had to care about it enougth to
know). With the distance you have you should be safe from any major damping
as long as you at least run the rigth impedances.
Cheers,
Magnus
