Hell, I don't even endorse TRADITIONAL energy!
but, I remember accidentally putting a 10mfd tant in reverse, with 
about 2 volts across it, and I got a marvellous random current flowing 
(leakage). Was hell to track down what was going on (it was in an 
envelope detector!!). About the same sub-audio range these people mention.
