OOOH !!!
Another nasty noisemaker is the "chattering relay" noise
source. Take a large relay (motor contactor?) and provide
the coil power through the normally closed relay contacts.
So it will act as a buzzer. THEN you make a really long loop
in series with the coil/contact... and either tack it to the
ceiling... or wrap it many turns around the mains...
This will kill just about anything... but it makes a lot of
acoustic noise... so put it in a heavy wooden box, suspended
by springs...
THEN to be really bitchy... use a contact mike, or piezo pickup,
taped to the ceiling. Amplify the BASS guitar, filter, and drive that
relay on / off.
He plays... it buzzes...
He stops... it stops...
He plays....
Soon he will be buying a new guitar and amplifier... and the fact that
the buzzing is associated with HIS playing will probably get the neighbors
thinking that the TV and Radio interference is ALSO his fault. This will
kill TV and Radio for some distance...
Hmmm this gets better and better...
