Digital Delay w/a mind of its own...

not getting warm, is it? check that you're not over-feeding the regulators
in it's psu. I've had american gear that was designed to run on 110 or 220
get upset by 240 because the regulators (78xx etc) couldn't throw away
enough of the volts coming out of the bridge; they overheat and shut down
for a while.
only other thing I can think of is this: a few years ago, I noticed that my
walkman (a nat-pan, now long-dead) would work fine in the house but after
I'd set off for work- like, 100 yards down my road, speed stability
problems. eventually I pulled it apart and found a quantity of london's
unbreathable atmosphere deposited across the pcb. what I surmised was that
going outside into damp air was "livening up" this contaminant into an
electrically effective state. maybe I've discovered a new way to make
semiconductors....... once cleaned off, the walkman worked fine. then I
trashed it.....
