Digital Delay w/a mind of its own...

OK! Can someone tell me if they ever experienced this and if they have,
how did you correct it. I have  Yamaha Digital Delay D1500. It is housed
in a wooden rack unit along with some Paia stuff, a Midiverb, a patch
panel and a power distribution strip.
This is the 2nd time this thing has doen this. It will work for a few
days, then suddenly stop processing. If I take it out of the rack and
take the top off, it begins to work. Whats goin on here? It doesnt
appear to be pinching any wires and no componenets are touching the top
cover. I have 12v Power supply  from  Paia and a 15v power supply from
an old arp omni. Is it possible that the transformers are producing
enough emf to affect the circuitry? I'd  like some input on this. thanks
