I think you'd be better off with dual-supply circuits. It'll be much easier
to interface with other modules. You'll be able to use the sample power
supply for all your modules, too. Also, single supply might be okay for a
small system, but it's not efficient enough for systems of even moderate
size.
I might be wrong about all of this.
