Power Supplies

Hi,

I just got a couple of those power supplies that the Mac Doc and Harry
told me of from MPJA. Before I put it in my Ultraman luchbox I would
like a little guidance on approach.

I saw the line cord has eyelets on it and the two power taps have a
very familiar looking connectors on them. What are they?

Wanting to put one in a largeish cabinet I thought that just putting a
turnaround on the 2 +-15v outputs and running it to either a Blacet or
MOTM distro board would be a good way to go since it is already set up
and solidly so. I also thought that cutting the AC cable and running it
to an IEC rf filter / inlet and a lighted switch.

Is this sufficient to set this up to power 20 average modules. Are
there any other protection schemes that I should consider to make my
boards safer. Years ago I used a lot of Tantalum caps because of the
instructions on my EMU evaluation cards, I ended up with a lot of
problems and i could never really decide if it was those bypass caps or
my 723 power supply.

If enough people get these supplies I'll sut up the best setup schemes somewhere.
