There is a boss pedal designed to bypass an effect chain. Don't know the
name however. I think there are even 2 pedals. One to just bypass a loop, an
one that has 2 loops, with the latter you can select both loops, or bypass.
Didn'tfind the first one however.

Another option you can go for is put it in a box, and connect a footswitch
to the box. Footswitches are available in all kinds...

One of my friends needs something quite similar. He needs a switch to select
between 2 or 3 different amplifiers. (Each button should switch an output on
or off.) I was thinking of just placing a buffer for each output, and
enabling these outputs with mosfet switches or something. Switching has to
be completely silent. Anyone ever made something like this?
