Numbering pot lugs can be a little tricky, because there are several ways
you could hold a pot, and start counting
...but if you're hearing things, even if they respond backwards, that's a
very good sign!
The solution would be to swap the connections on each of the pots...the
center of the 3 will still be OK, but the left and right terminals will need
to be traded...and if there are any that bridge the center to the left or
right, the bridge will also need to be swapped.
You might try this on the volume pot, to verify that that fixes the problem,
before moving on to any others.

Well, that is a good suggestion, but, I already went back and compared my
wiring to the manual, and everything is the way it is supposed to be. I don't
know if it was a mistake in the new desktop case supplement, or what. I'm
confused. I really don't want to take all of that apart again. It's so small
in that case.
