This is the worst feature of these pots - that bit of plastic had cut
through *all* the pots on a 606 I fixed up for a friend.
I engraved a little groove just below the surface level at the points where
this plastic bit cuts the tracks and painted over with silver conductive
paint. The paint in the groove is out of the way of the plastic cutter.
Whenever my mates play with my 303, I remind them not to apply any downward
pressure on the knobs - they only need to rotate.
Some heavy handed bastard rubbed the gradiations round the filter cutoff
knob off the front panel of my 303 while I wasn't looking.
Hence the retriment of the original 303 analogue section.
They just weren't built to last...
