'303 env mod pot

Hrm.. that is a good question. I ended up using the the alpha pots and
epoxying the bottom of the pot with about a 5mm thick piece of plastic under
it, and between the plastic and the bottom of the pot in the epoxy, set some
rather thick wire with some decent length. The wire is going to be used to
solder the pot to the board. It works, but its not quite as forgiveable
because there is no flex in the shaft at all, so you have to be right on
with your placement.
I also suggest before using them to use control cleaner to loosen them up..
You will greatly appreciate the smoother turning! ;)
Now, you CAN repair those pots, let it be known.
Get into the pot by prying open the pot, and you can scrape a trough into
the PCB of the pot to fix the connection between the leads and the carbon
traces by filling the trough with some of that silver trace fixer pen. Then,
fill over the silver filled trough with epoxy to keep it from ever wearing
through to the new connection..
Thanks
Rob
