The problem with "reverse log" pots is that sometimes you need them
in rheostat configuration, i.e. variable resistor rather than voltage
divider.
If you just need a "reverse log" attenuator, any VCA + clever CV
circuit will do.
Now, in case of a LDR, the same would be possible with the
rheostat configuration. Just tailor the CV circuit to your needs
and voila. No LDR pair required.
I don't know a solution for temperature dependence, though, other
than using a pair of *matched* LDRs and a servo circuit.
