My method for getting a decent number of colors of hookup wire is to get my
hands on leftover portions of rolls of multi conductor cable. I managed to get
lots of surplus 9 and 12 conductor 22 gauge cable that used to be in our
building for serial computer cable applications. I spend some of my spare time
stripping the outer vinyl jackets off, and I use the 9 or 12 different colors
for my projects. It works for me.
