LFO5a help

my EFM LFO5a (+/-15v) is partially working (hoorah!) however i have some 
questions:

can i change the RATE pot's value so that it controls a more dynamic rate 
range? T1 apparently only sets the initial rate, not the range of sweep.

all the wave outputs inc noise, are working. but the staircase gen and S&H 
sections are not working at all. any troubleshooting tips? note: i have 
added a tantalum cap across pin5 of U3(+) & ground (-) to mod for +-15v

what is T2 supposed to do? it's doing nothing for me.

is there a way to smooth the audible clicks that happen with the edges of 
each sq or saw wave?
