tips on soldersucking

For me, solder wick has never worked well.
Mostly, i do also use like most of you, an ordinary
Soldapullt solder sucker, add some fresh solder,
heat the PCB and part with the soldering iron, and then
quickly replace the iron with the sucker.

When i have to remove parts with more than 3 pins,
i often add massive amounts of solder to all the pins,
so that the hot solder covers and heats them all at the
same time, Then i pull out the part, and knock the PCB
on the bnech, so that the solder flies away from the board.
This mostly does also free the holes; sometimes i have to
clean them with the soldering iron and the pump, but this
is seldom. I have never had a trace come loose with this
method; maybe because i am always using my iron at
low temperature (260 degrees C, don´t know what this is in F)
