ACTUALLY I just stumbled into a really nice VCF8e mod... and so easy
(I'm pissed i've been working for days... Just solder one red LED across
the 33K resistor
in the GAIN stage OTA (resonance). I prefer Cathode to ground polarity.
Gives
Asymmetrical limiting if you crank hard, and inproves the input dynamic
range. I can go up to 2-3 volts without totally killing the res....

Works better than the three diodes and the diode breakpoint circuit, and
fits on the
board !!!
