I'm guessing that's probably because most of their work is done on 
surface-mount components, on which vacuum desoldering tools are useless.  I 
still believe that vacuum tools, when properly and carefully used, work 
better than wick, in most cases.  What kind/brand of wick do those guys use?  
Maybe I've been using the wrong stuff.  It's always been my last resort, 
except when I'm working on surface-mount parts.
