I'm guessing that's probably because most of their work is done on
surface-mount components, on which vacuum desoldering tools are useless. I
still believe that vacuum tools, when properly and carefully used, work
better than wick, in most cases. What kind/brand of wick do those guys use?
Maybe I've been using the wrong stuff. It's always been my last resort,
except when I'm working on surface-mount parts.
