I'll tell you whats killing the list....
<rant mode on>

Whats killing the list (at least in America) is too many years of full
employment.
There is so much easy money floating out there, that everyone both
1) wants a new synth  ~and~
2) has the buck$ to go out and buy it....

The marketplace (your favorite DIY boutique synth owners name here) has
responded in spades !!!

So everyone has a new product offering all at once !!!
Great! I'm packing a few boards away... because one day

The stock market will crash... boom! and everyone will be in tough
times...
And all the little shops will go underground... or just under...

And we will all be hungry and the only way to feed our "Jones" will be

dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum...

Synth-DIY.

The "Newbies" live here (God bless 'em) and their questions will at
least stave off
the feelings of worthlessness for the ("old bees"??? "anchient ones"
???? ) long time
list members...

(so commercial folks...)
So don't worry about anyone ripping you off... those who have money will
surely buy
your stuff (they know they can't do half a good of a job at the
price...) and those who don't aren't a lost sale anyway...  We are kind
of like the "audiophile vaccuum tube market". We need not fear the EVIL
EMPIRE !!!
