Hurray a question!/OTA preference

This has been a really interesting topic; I've just been kinda lurking for a
while. :)

I know some list members have a preference for the 3280 vs. the 13600/13700 OTA.
I'm interested in the reasons for this. Obviously, the linearization circuits
of these OTAs, if used, affect their clipping behavior (e.g. they stay linear
right up until clipping and then hit the wall). Can someone explain the
linearization circuit of the 3280 and how it differs from the 13600/13700? Does
this have any likely effect on the sound of the 3280, or are people's
preferences based on more holistic grounds ("it just sounds better, I don't know
why").

Regards,
-PRH
