What would kill CEM's?

Hi Everyone -

I think I'm getting over the problems in Pro-One land, and it looks like
there was some pretty catestrophic damage...

The problem was that I was getting no output from the synth. Nothing.
(Well, a slight boop when it powered down, but that was all...) I found
that one of the 3310 EG's was running really hot, so I replaced it.
Then I replaced the other one. At that point I started to get the noise
source working again.

So, I pulled a 3340 out of my OB-8 and put in in place of the Osc. 1 VCO
in the Pro-One. Now I get a working oscillator. I haven't checked out
the second oscillator as it would require removing a resistor from pin
16 and I'd rather not have to do that at this point.

I also am getting no sequencer or arpeggiator, but I'm also getting no
LFO. Is it possible that the 3340 that provides the LFO is also dead?
Would that account for the lack of the sequencer and arpeggiator?

If that's true, it looks like both 3310's and all 3 3340's are dead.
What the hell could have killed this synth? What could possibly take
out 5 select IC's in a Pro One? (And unfortunately, the 5 most
expensive ones... )

Any suggestions?

Tim
