Tube PAC questions - DI boxes

Hi all,

Due to me selling my rig, I'm looking also for a DI box.
I looked at the ART Tube PAC thingy, and it appealed to
me since it has a compressor as well. But here is the Q:
Is the compressor hardwired to the DI or can I place 
effects between the compressor and the DI?

If I can't I'll probably go for the Demeter tube DI.
(Does anyone have experience with that one?)
And possibly some compressor, I dom't know.
