RAM battery replacement - which one to choose ?

I usually disable any charging circuit and use ordinary flashlight batteries...
like 2 AA
cells... lasts for the shelf life of the battery which is a few years... biggest
drain is self discharge...  Carbon batteries are actually better than the heavy
duty alkaline...
