Seems like any of the audio power amp chips should work, like the LM380 or
LM383. However, my vote is for th LM675 power op amp from NS. It can drive
massive power into loads and still have headroom. Noise isn't great, but
for a
spring reverb its probably okay. Yes, I know, it's overkill. But you see,
overkill is my middle name.

Hi Tim:

The LM675 is a great op amp.  I designed it into a servo drive amplifier
for a high speed galvanometer type optical scanner a few years back, and it
worked perfect.  We ended up building more than 100 of them.
